Scholastically, Dr. Considine graduated with her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in 1998 and her Master of Public Health Degree from the Yale School of Public Health in 2000. She then went on to earn her Medical Degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in 2004. 

Furthering her training, Dr. Considine performed her internship in internal medicine, residency in anesthesiology, and fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Yale New Haven Hospital in 2005, 2008, and 2009, respectively. 

Subsequent to her education, the doctor attained board certification in both anesthesiology and pediatric anesthesiology through the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). The ABA sets standards and exams for the accreditation of board-certified anesthesiologists coming to the end of their residency. It is one of the 24 medical specialty boards that constitutes the American Board of Medical Specialties.

Among her professional affiliations, Dr. Considine is an esteemed member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the Connecticut State Society of Anesthesiologists.

Anesthesiology is the medical specialty concerned with the total perioperative care of patients before, during, and after surgery. It encompasses anesthesia, intensive care medicine, critical emergency medicine, and pain medicine. Anesthesiologists have the primary responsibility of monitoring the patient’s vital signs during surgery. In addition to basic measurements such as pulse, blood pressure, and temperature, they measure the patient’s respiration.
