Subsequent to her education, she attained board certification in otolaryngology through the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. It is a non-profit corporation that has set the mission of ensuring professional standards with certificates and memberships and has offered training in the fields of head neck surgery to professionals since 1924.

Among her professional affiliations, Dr. Riccio is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
