Get to know Anesthesiologist Dr. Bryce Busenlehner, who serves patients in Kingsport, Tennessee.

A skilled anesthesiologist, Dr. Busenlehner works with patients at his private practice – Anesthesiology Group of Tennessee, PC – in Kingsport, Tennessee.

Holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Immunology from Texas A&M University, he earned his Master of Health Administration degree (MHA) from the Texas A&M Health Science Center School of Public Health in 2008. He then went on to graduate with his medical degree from the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine in 2013, and completed his residency in anesthesiology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.

Among his other roles, Dr. Busenlehner is affiliated with MEDNAX and the US Navy Reserve, holding the rank of Lieutenant.

Anesthesiology is the medical specialty concerned with the total perioperative care of patients before, during, and after surgery. It encompasses anesthesia, intensive care medicine, critical emergency medicine, and pain medicine. Anesthesiologists have the primary responsibility of monitoring the patient’s vital signs during surgery. In addition to basic measurements such as pulse, blood pressure, and temperature, they measure the patient’s respiration.
