Get to know Internist Dr. Maziar Sadri, who serves patients in Sterling, Virginia.

Being a board-certified internist with over two decades of experience in his field, Dr. Sadri serves in the role of Medical Director of Patient First in Sterling, Virginia. The urgent care center provides a full range of urgent care and primary care services.

The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after he earned his medical degree from Kermanshah University School of Medicine in Iran. Upon graduation, he went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, Connecticut. 

Shortly thereafter, he became board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. 

Throughout his extensive career, Dr. Sadri has served as an Internal Medicine Resident at Western Connecticut Health Network (July 2015 – June 2018), a Research Assistant within the Department of Cardiology at The George Washington University Hospital/MFA (September 2011 – June 2015), a Cardiac Stress Test Technician at Carient Heart & Vascular (June 2012 – May 2014), an Urgent Care Physician at National Hospital (May 2009 – July 2011), an Emergency Room Physician at Taleghani Hospital (March 2005 – March 2009), and as a Family Physician/Medical Director of Public Health Services in Kermanshah, Iran (September 2002 – April 2005). 

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.
