Get to know Dentist Dr. Sky O. Martin, who serves patients in Stockton, California.

Changing lives one smile at a time, Dr. Martin is a member of the Martin Dentistry team in Stockton, California.

Collectively, the dentists bring years of experience and a multitude of skills to the practice of dentistry. In addition to dental implants, they can address cosmetic, general and periodontal needs and offer a unique approach to repairing and improving smiles. 

With a broad educational background, Dr. Martin obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in neurobiology, physiology and behavioral science (NPB) from UC Davis as well as his Associate degrees in engineering, math and education. He also holds a computer aided drafting (CAD) certificate from San Joaquin Delta College (SJDC). He tutored every math and science subject at SJDC and coached many students, winning awards for excellence in tutoring. 

In 2016, Dr. Martin graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, with a teaching assistantship in anesthesiology.

Trained in single-piece screw implants, he is currently training in multimodal systems, including single tooth replacement plate form implants, ramus blade implants, ramus frame implants, and Custom Osseous Integrated Implants (COII) for restoration of numerous and varied clinical cases. These cases include atrophic bone, regardless of the amount of bone loss. This can help ensure that nearly every case can be restored without the use of pre-bone grafting and long, expensive and complicated treatment plans, which have the potential for complications.

An excellent artist in his own right, Dr. Martin has produced a number of works of art of which his family is justly proud. As the best artistic talent of all the dentists on staff, cosmetic dentistry is a passion of his. He has performed many anterior restorations with great patient satisfaction.

With the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), Dr. Martin is currently involved in advanced studies in implant dentistry His interest in implant dentistry ensures that the many types of dental implants Martin Dentistry has offered patients over the years will continue to be available and that maintenance on those already placed will continue for the next 40 years.
