A highly trained anatomic pathologist, Dr. Farzanmehr boasts expertise across a diverse spectrum of disciplines, including Life Sciences, Laboratory Management, Medical Devices, Oncology, Molecular Biology, Dermatopathology, Biotechnology, and Healthcare Information Technology (HIT). She is the Founder and Laboratory/Medical Director of Genex Laboratory Professional Corporation, situated in Irvine, California.

Her professional journey includes noteworthy roles such as a molecular genetic pathologist at Genex Laboratory PC (December 2012 – March 2023), Laboratory and Medical Director at Source Bioscience Inc. (June 2021 – September 2022), Consultant CLIA/CAP Laboratory Medical Director at BioNtech SE / Pfizer (May 2021 – December 2021), Laboratory Director for the California Department of Public Health’s COVID Task Force project (September 2020 – December 2020), Consultant Molecular Genetic Pathologist at Genoptix, Inc. Academically, Dr. Farzanmehr pursued her medical education at the Iran University of Medical Sciences before embarking on a journey of specialized training and expertise. She completed a comprehensive residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in 2008, followed by a fellowship in molecular genetic pathology at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in 2010.

Board certified in anatomic pathology, the doctor is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pathology (ABPath). The mission of the ABPath, a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties, is to serve the public and advance the profession of pathology by setting certification standards and promoting lifelong competency of pathologists.

Having positioned herself as a distinguished leader in the realm of pathology and healthcare, Dr. Farzanmehr is a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists (FCAP).
