Dr. Kirk Jr. is a pathologist who is board-certified in cytopathology, pathology, as well as anatomic and clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology, one of the 24 member boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties. He is affiliated with Novant Health UVA Health System Prince William Medical Center in Manassas, Virginia.

The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began in 2002 when he earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio. He then went on to complete his internship in pathology at Case Western Reserve University in 2003, followed by his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology and his fellowship in cytopathology at the same educational venue in 2006 and 2007, respectively. 

Pathology is a branch of medical science that involves the study and diagnosis of disease through the examination of surgically removed organs, tissues, bodily fluids, and in some cases, the whole body. Pathologists are physicians who specialize in the diagnosis and management of diseases by laboratory methods.
