While bringing his advanced skills and talents to Advanced Foot & Ankle Specialists, PA, Dr. McCain performs foot & ankle surgery at Cleveland Clinic in Stuart & Jupiter Medical Center. He also has staff privileges at Jupiter & Martin Surgical Centers.
Committed to his patients and their goals, Dr. McCain achieves this through evidence-based medicine and by creating effective treatment plans. Through cutting-edge treatment modalities and his surgical skills obtained during residency, he can effectively treat his patients’ lower extremity pathologies while positively influencing their lives.
Provided a well-rounded education, Dr. McCain received his undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor study in Music from Birmingham-Southern University, and his Master’s degree in Medical Science from Mississippi College. Then, he went on and obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago.
His surgical residency consisted of forefoot & rearfoot reconstruction surgery at Weiss Memorial Hospital. This program afforded him specialized training in extensive wound care and limb salvage at nearby Mt. Sinai and Cook County, and Methodist Hospital in Indiana. The training endowed came from the best of Chicago’s foot and ankle surgical professors and surgeons. This gave him expertise in peripheral nerve trauma and very specialized vascular and orthopedic trauma.
His southern roots aided in confidence, understanding, and critical thinking as Dr. McCain developed his surgical skills and fixation techniques in forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle procedures. He has been trained in over 15 clinics, hospitals, and surgery centers providing treatment to patients in all categories: high-risk, diabetic, vasculopathy, multiple comorbidities, sports medicine, cosmetics, and elective procedures. He is confidently qualified in all aspects of supportive foot and ankle devices.
As an athlete, Dr. McCain is most passionate about treating sports medicine pathologies but is very highly trained in wound care and limb salvage in critically ill patients.
Board qualified in reconstructive rearfoot/ankle (RRA) surgery, he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS). The ABFAS strives to protect and improve the health and welfare of the public by advancing the art and science of foot and ankle surgery.
Advancing his efforts, Dr. McCain is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Florida Podiatric Medical Association.
