  • Will a chiropractor be able to help me with my hip pain in the 5 month of my pregnancy?

Yes! Find an office with a Webster-certified Doctor of Chiropractic. Respectfully, READ MORE

  • Can an X-ray diagnose a spinal deformity?

Many times, an X-ray is adequate to make a diagnosis. Depending upon the type of tissue involved, a CT (CAT scan) or MRI may be ordered to further evaluate the spine and/or soft tissue abnormalities. Respectfully, READ MORE

  • What is the lump that I can feel right behind my neck?

A lump could be several things. Most likely you are referring to a Dowager's Hump, which can be a result of poor posture. Find a chiropractic clinic that does X-ray and they can most likely help you further your investigation. Respectfully, READ MORE

  • Why does my back feel sore?

Try propping a few pillows under your legs to off-load the spine and take pressure off! This helps a lot of my patients feel better instantly (esp. low back pain patients). Depending, you may have some arthritis, i.e., DJD (wear and tear) that has set in over the years. This can render you stiff and sore in the morning. Check out our Facebook page "OneHealth Chiropractic" for recurring tips on stuff like this also! Respectfully, READ MORE

  • How can i reduce my pain due to ankle sprain?

If the pain is persisting and worsening you make consider having it x-rayed to rule out a fracture. READ MORE

  • Very tight neck

Unequivocally, yes. Find a chiropractor that can get a great set of X-rays to go with your spinal care. You will be amazed. READ MORE

  • Can excess weight cause spine problems?

Yes, it certainly can. Excess weight is especially detrimental to the lower back. If you are in pain, some chiropractic care to take the edge off might not be a bad idea, and could enable you to workout with less discomfort! A win-win! Respectfully, READ MORE

  • Is there a way to treat back pain arising due to long sitting hours?

Chiropractic care is a great first line of defense against a job that requires prolonged sitting or standing. Also, implementing a 10 minute full body stretching routine that you do every single day would be a great adjunct to chiropractic care. You can search Google or YouTube and find several different routines with varying degrees of difficulty. Great question! Respectfully, READ MORE

  • My father is suffering from severe back pain. Can it be treated with manual adjustment of the spine?

Absolutely worth it to get him to a chiropractor immediately. Research has shown time and again that chiropractic is as effective (if not more) as any other treatment out there. Be sure to take him to a doctor that takes x-rays so that the position and condition of his spine can be assessed with as much precision as possible. Great question. Respectfully, READ MORE

  • My left shoulder is broader than the right. Is this a growth problem?

That would require a more in-depth look by a professional. A chiropractor could x-ray you and may have suggestions on how to correct any misalignment in the shoulder, thoracic spine (midback), and/or scapula. It is a very real possibility that you shoulder blade appears to be broader due to improper biomechanical alignment that rotates that broader shoulder blade inward. Respectfully, READ MORE

  • Is it bad to suddenly stop chiropractic care?

Chiropractic care is meant to be enjoyed throughout life. Yes if you stop the progress will slowly be lost, just like if you stopped working out your body will decondition. The spine is always under stress and regular chiropractic care is requisite if one hopes to enjoy the benefits of optimal spinal health into the future. I urge you to see health insurance like car insurance: Aflac does not pay for tire rotations, oil changes, etc. They only cover catastrophic events. This is what health insurance is meant for also! Health insurance will not cover your gym membership, yoga membership, etc. I urge you to see chiropractic care as a necessity for maintenance of optimal health. Think of it as one of the most important memberships you will ever have! Thanks for the great question! READ MORE

  • Very tight neck

Absolutely! You must ask yourself: "where do the muscles attach?" To the bones! Namely in the spine! Massage will help release muscle tension, but getting adjusted with some regularity will better align the structure (spine) the that muscles attach to, helping the massages last longer and promoting better health and overall function! At least go get checked! Your body will improve drastically. READ MORE

  • My back hurts when I sit down. Why?

Conditions involving the low back can be stealthy and can develop every so slowly over time. The straw that broke the camel's back is a saying that has some truth to it. Sometimes it only takes a tiny force in the spine to produce symptoms. I would get your lower back examined and adjusted by a chiropractor at your earliest convenience. READ MORE

  • Is fertility reduced with spina bifida?

In patients I have worked on in the past, spina bifida has not been a risk factor for lowered fertility. Spina bifida literally just means "bi-fid spinous" which means the tip of the spinal bone is divided into two pieces rather than the usual one piece. READ MORE
