Get to know Urologist Dr. Dara D. Holder, who serves patients in Greenbelt, Maryland.

Dr. Holder is a skilled urologist treating a variety of general urologic issues affecting both men and women. She works at MidAtlantic Urology Associates, LLC in Greenbelt, Maryland. 

MidAtlantic Urology Associates, LLC is a group of physicians dedicated to providing quality urological care to patients in Anne Arundel County, Prince George’s County, Montgomery County, and Maryland. They offer extensive medical procedures to outbound and inbound patients.

Academically, Dr. Holder earned her medical degree from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City where she did a yearlong Doris Duke Research Fellowship focusing on expanding the options for bladder-sparing therapies for BCG refractory bladder cancer. After graduation, she completed a surgical internship at New York Presbyterian- Columbia University Medical center, followed by a residency in urology at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison.

“My goal in caring for my patients has always been combining cutting-edge urology and compassionate care to provide excellent care locally” expressed Dr. Holder. Her interests range from urologic cancers, kidney stones, bladder dysfunction, male infertility, benign prostatic hyperplasia, urinary incontinence, male and female sexual health, and low testosterone.

Urology, also known as genitourinary surgery, is the branch of medicine that focuses on surgical and medical diseases of the male and female urinary-tract system and the male reproductive organs. Urologists specialize in diseases of the urinary tract and the male reproductive system. Patients may be referred to a urologist if their physician suspects they may need treatment for a condition relating to the bladder, prostate, urethra, ureters, kidneys, and adrenal glands.
