With an impressive professional journey that spans nearly three decades, Dr. Lawrence specializes in domestic violence, anger management, and administrative operations. Before he entered the field of recovery, he held varied roles, such as painter, carpet layer, cook, and truck driver. In 2008, he was laid off, having then decided to become a Substance Use Disorder Professional because he was helping several Narcotics Anonymous (NA) sponsees, who worked in the field, stay clean. 

After graduating with his associate’s degree from Highland Community College in 2001, Dr. Lawrence completed further training in drug and alcohol abuse counseling through the University of Nebraska Medical Center and the USAF School of Health Care Sciences. With this certification, he became a Drug and Alcohol Counselor.

To date, he maintains affiliations with the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare, Clean and Sober Motorcycle Club, and NA.
A Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) is a professional role certified by the Washington State Department of Health to work with individuals of all ages who are experiencing problems with substance use, abuse, and addiction.

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Lawrence enjoys snowboarding, riding motorcycles and quads, attending Seattle Seahawks games, and spending time with his children.
