With a commitment to excellence, Dr. Steuer’s clinical expertise consists of maxillofacial trauma, dental surgery and implants, bone grafting, oral pathology, reconstructive oral and facial surgery, anesthesia, facial cosmetics (including BOTOX®), and injectable fillers. His wide breadth of technical skills paired with his compassionate approach to patient care has made him a well-known and respected figure among the personnel at Colorado Springs Oral and Facial Surgery.
On the subject of his educational background, Dr. Steuer earned his bachelor’s degree in Portuguese from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He went on to study at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry for his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree and graduated in 2009. In 2013, he completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Boston University Medical Center. Here, he received extensive training in dentoalveolar procedures, complex dental implant treatments, and the “All-on-4” and zygomatic concepts.
Remaining committed to serving others throughout his career, he has participated in multiple overseas medical dental and service missions where he has treated patients with cleft lips and cleft palates, as well as performed other dental care services.
Oral and maxillofacial surgery is a surgical specialty focusing on reconstructive surgery of the face, facial trauma surgery, the oral cavity, head and neck, mouth, and jaws, as well as facial cosmetic surgery. Oral and maxillofacial surgeons are trained to recognize and treat a wide spectrum of diseases, injuries, and defects in the head, neck, face, jaws, and the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial region. They are also trained to administer anesthesia and provide care in an office setting.
Before settling down in Colorado, Dr. Steuer lived and practiced in Portland, Maine. His family consists of himself, his wife, and their three children, whom he is passionate about spending his free time with when he is not hard at work in the office.
