Dr. Kayla Nelson is a psychologist practicing in Huntington, NY. Dr. Nelson specializes in the treatment of child and adolecsent mental health. Dr. Nelson recieved her doctorate from California Lutheran University where she began her clinical training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Committment Therapy (ACT). She continues to use these approaches in her work with clients. She went on to get trainied in EMDR, which she utilizes in the treatment of trauma. Glacier Psychology Services is staffed with therapists who have diverse training experiences and backgrounds, allowing them to treat a diverse population with varying needs. Glacier's model is collaborative throughout. Clients will work closely with their therapists to establish goals and the therapsits will all work together to idenitfy best treatment protocols for each client.
