He subsequently received his medical degree from Saint George’s University School of Medicine, and completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Miami Palm Beach Regional Campus where he served as Chief Resident and received the Resident of the Year Award. Building on his interest in surgical technology, he completed his fellowship in advanced GI minimally invasive surgery at South Miami Baptist Hospital.

Following his training, the doctor attained board certification in general surgery and bariatric surgery through the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.
