Being a well-versed pulmonologist and critical care medicine specialist, Dr. Ranches treats a wide variety of lung diseases including asthma, COPD, and interstitial lung disease. For the non-invasive diagnosis and staging of lung cancer, the doctor is experienced in bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound. In addition, he has specialized training in the diagnosis and treatment of non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis, nontuberculous mycobacterial infection, and lung cancer/pulmonary nodules.
A 2011 graduate of Sidney Kimmel Medical College, Dr. Ranches went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego in 2014 where he served as Chief Resident. This was followed by a fellowship in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine at Oregon Health Sciences University in 2018.
Licensed to practice medicine in California and Oregon, he is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, and critical care medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
