Get to know Internist and Pediatrician Dr. Yvette Mignon, who serves patients in Tallahassee, Florida.

Dr. Mignon is a well-versed internist and pediatrician in Tallahassee, Florida. She serves as the CEO and CMO of Health & Wellness Integrated Healthcare Centers, The Wellness Center by Dr. Mignon and now the Real Life Medicine Podcast.  She is a real innovator always looking to how she can serve her community better.

In the spring of 2003, she had the idea of opening a family practice medical clinic (Health & Wellness Integrated Healthcare Centers) devoted to serving the primary healthcare needs of the Tallahassee community, but she didn’t stop there. In 2017 she expanded her services and acquired Impact Behavioral Health to provide mental health counseling and to expand on the services for patients in Tallahassee and the Tallahassee metropolitan area. This practice grew and now continues on as a larger mental health provider that provides services throughout the state.

With a unique style, Dr. Mignon has a truly comprehensive and compassionate approach to caring for families throughout the life cycle and addressing the integration of a mind-body-spirit approach to one’s overall health. At The Wellness Center by Dr. Mignon, focus is put on a result-driven approach from the highest quality of services, holistic approach, spiritual health, and overall sense of well-being.

Dr. Mignon is always looking for new ways to connect with her patients and those who may not even be her patients.  She is dynamic and creative  and in July 2020 she  shared her initial podcast on Spotify, Anchor, and Google Podcast as well as her DrMignonOnline website.  This is not your traditional medicine show. This is where she deals with real life issues.

When asked why she does what she does for her patients, she answered: “It’s because I want them to have the best life possible and I believe in them”. The motto of my office is ‘BECAUSE EVERYONE MATTERS’. The patient-physician relationship that develops over time is good for my spirit too.”

A native of Tallahassee, Dr. Mignon graduated from Leon High School. She went to attend medical school at the Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, and completed her residency training in internal medicine and pediatrics at Yale University Hospital in Connecticut.

With over two decades of experience, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends people be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.
