Dr. Namrata P. Shah, MD, is a clinical researcher and distinguished board-certified physician specializing in Infectious Disease and Internal Medicine, dedicated to improving healthcare accessibility in the Washington, DC area. Her work with community-focused organizations such as Whitman-Walker Health and CCI Health Services reflects her commitment to serving diverse communities. With more than two decades of clinical experience, Dr. Shah is renowned for her compassionate care and her ability to provide culturally competent treatment to patients from varied backgrounds.

After obtaining her medical degree from the Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education & Research in 2005, Dr. Shah completed her residency at Howard University Hospital. She is dual board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. Her extensive clinical knowledge encompasses the management of complex health issues, including HIV/AIDS, hepatitis B and C, sexually transmitted infections, as well as general infectious diseases.

Currently, Dr. Shah is the Medical Director of research and also practices at Whitman-Walker Health in Washington, DC. In addition, she is a clinical preceptor for  George Washington University Hospital.
