Get to know Pediatric Hospitalist Dr. Nicole S. Jones, who serves patients in Jackson, Tennessee.

Dr. Jones, a caring pediatric hospitalist, can be found on staff at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.

The flagship of West Tennessee Healthcare, Jackson-Madison County General Hospital is a 642-bed tertiary care center. The only tertiary care hospital between Memphis and Nashville, the hospital serves a 17-county area of rural West Tennessee. Fully accredited by The Joint Commission, the safety of their patients and visitors is their top priority.

Academically, Dr. Jones earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2015. She then completed her residency in pediatrics at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Following her training, the doctor attained board certification in pediatrics through the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Teaching students, Dr. Jones serves as an Assistant Professor within the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine.

Continuously advancing her efforts, she is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. Pediatric hospitalists are pediatricians who work primarily in hospitals. 

Active in the community, Dr. Jones has been a part of various charities and philanthropic endeavors such as a Medical Mission to Kenya in 2017 and 2018, Medical Mission to Roatan, Honduras in 2013, and Day with the Doctors through the Louisiana Area Health Education Center in 2016.
