From there, she went on to complete a general surgery residency at NYU Langone Medical Center and a research fellowship at the renowned Institute for Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, also at NYU. Finally, she pursued her plastic surgery training with some of the nation’s preeminent leaders in cosmetic, plastic, and reconstructive surgery at Emory University in Atlanta.
Board certified in plastic surgery, Dr. Vandegrift holds the distinction of being a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). The mission of the ABPS is to promote safe, ethical, efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for the education, examination, certification and continuous certification of plastic surgeons as specialists and subspecialists.
