With regard to his academic background, Dr. Jabbar graduated with his medical degree from the College of Medicine University of Baghdad in Iraq in 2005. Upon relocating to the United States, he performed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Nevada School of Medicine.
Furthering his education, he completed his fellowship training in advanced heart failure & cardiac transplantation at Baylor College of Medicine, in cardiovascular medicine at the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, in interventional cardiology at The University of Toledo Medical Center, and in advanced endovascular and structural heart disease at John Ochsner Heart & Vascular Institute/Ochsner Clinic Foundation.
Helping patients maintain a heart-healthy life, Dr. Jabbar is board-certified in internal medicine, interventional cardiology, and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
A Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI) and a member of the American College of Cardiology, he is also board-certified through the American Board of Vascular Medicine, the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology, and the National Board of Echocardiography.
