Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Jyotika Agochiya, who serves patients throughout the State of New York.

A committed obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Agochiya is affiliated with Advanced OB/GYN Associates at Westchester Medical Center, working with patients at their offices in Pomona and Monroe, New York.

Advanced OB/GYN Associates at Westchester Medical Center is a full-service obstetrics and gynecology practice serving women from adolescence through their senior years. Their outstanding group of general OB/GYNS and subspecialists provide comprehensive services in the fields of maternal-fetal medicine, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, gynecologic ultrasound, urogynecology, and gynecologic oncology.

Back in the early days of her academic career, Dr. Agochiya graduated with her medical degree from the Nilratan Sircar Medical College in India. Upon relocating to the United States, she completed her residency in obstetrics & gynecology and her fellowship in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery at the University of Louisville, Kentucky.

Recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists (FACOG), the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics & gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, cervix, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).
