Well-versed in the field of anesthesiology, Dr. Fleming is affiliated with USAP-Texas (Gulf Coast).

Throughout her academic career, Dr. Fleming earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago in 2010, and completed her residency in anesthesiology at the Cooper University Hospital in 2015. Finally, she completed her fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.

As a testament of her continued education, the doctor is board-certified in anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). As the certifying body for anesthesiologists since 1938, the ABA is committed to partnering with physicians to advance lifelong learning and exceptional patient care. Its mission is to advance the highest standards of the practice of anesthesiology.

On a professional level, she is an active member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, and the American Medical Association.

Anesthesiology is the medical specialty concerned with the total perioperative care of patients before, during, and after surgery. Anesthesiologists have a vast amount of responsibilities that include vigilant monitoring of the patient’s vital signs during surgery, managing acute pain, maintaining safety, and most importantly, acting as the patient’s advocate in the operating room.
