Ivy League educated, Dr. Miranda attended Cornell University Medical College in New York, where he graduated with highest honors (Alpha Omega Alpha). Upon graduation, he went on to complete his residency and fellowship training in plastic surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. He was then awarded a research fellowship to study breast and brain cancer at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.

In addition to his medical studies and plastic surgery training, Dr. Miranda has worked for Estee Lauder Companies. There, he was trained in the design, production, and testing of high-quality, state-of-the-art cosmetics and cosmeceuticals. He uses his experience at Estee Lauder and his plastic surgery training to create a custom skin treatment plan for each patient using his own Ravish by London Riley Skin Care line.

Priding himself on results and quality patient experience, the doctor is board-certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). The mission of the ABPS is to promote safe, ethical, efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for the education, examination, certification, and continuous certification of plastic surgeons as specialists and subspecialists.

Widely respected within the medical community, Dr. Miranda is considered a specialist and surgeons refer patients to him for complex procedures such as abdominal reconstruction and migraine surgery.
