Get to know Dermatologist Dr. Valerie A. Stern, who serves patients in Beverly Hills, California.

Dr. Stern is a dermatologist who specializes in cosmetic, laser, and general dermatology. She is currently serving patients at her private practice – ElementskinLA – in Beverly Hills, California. She has risen to the top over the years and has gained a professional reputation of excellence by those who see her and those who work with her. 

Dr. Stern prefers spending time with each patient, getting to know them, and meeting their individual goals. She prides herself on a “concierge” approach, by which her undivided attention is paid during a patient’s visit, as well as after. Patient care is her top priority. Given her natural talents and her success in reaching a status level, Dr. Stern proudly works with the most notable cosmetic dermatologist around – Dr Arnold W. Klein. 

Dr. Stern earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1998. She then went on to earn her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California.

Dr. Stern is a Fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA). The SDPA is a 501c6 non-profit professional organization composed of members who provide dermatologic care or have an interest in the medical specialty of dermatology. Its Fellow members are PAs who provide medical services with the collaboration of a board-certified dermatologist. The mission of the SDPA is to advance the care of patients through the education and empowerment of dermatology PAs.

Dermatology is the branch of medicine dealing with the skin, nails, hair and its diseases. It is a specialty with both medical and surgical aspects. As a dermatologist, Dr. Stern specializes in treating conditions of the skin. Dermatological duties include taking consultations, providing screening tests, as well as undertaking non-invasive surgical procedures. Some of Dr. Stern’s areas of expertise include sclerotherapy, skin resurfacing, RF skin tightening, earlobe enhancement, hand rejuvenation, and acne treatments – among many others.
