Get to know Dentist Dr. Sasha Sherry, who serves patients in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Sherry (or Dr. Sasha, as many of her patients call her) is an established dentist with a friendly approach to patient-first care. She practices alongside her father, Dr. Ronald Sherry, DDS, at Sherry Dental in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania.

Welcoming patients of all ages, she provides all aspects of general dentistry. Her greatest passion is to develop lasting relationships and provide the best possible care to help improve the lives of her patients. Having a direct impact on making people feel better is what drives her in her desire to continue to learn more ways to help her patients.

Growing up with a passion for learning and a drive to achieve excellence across her life interests, Dr. Sherry’s aspirations brought her to Princeton University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and received All-American honors as a Division I athlete. She went on to become a member of the United States Women’s National Ice Hockey Team and competed for a spot on the 2010 Olympic team. After her athletic career, she followed in her father’s footsteps and graduated with her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University in 2018 as an award recipient for her commitment to patient care and clinical skills.

A life-long learner, Dr. Sherry spends countless hours advancing her knowledge in all aspects of dentistry. Aside from general dentistry practices, her expertise extends to sleep medicine, children’s development, and restoring implants. She enjoys being a member of several dental organizations, including the Academy of General Dentistry, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and the American Academy of Physiological Medicine & Dentistry. She also attends meetings throughout the year to ensure Sherry Dental remains at the cutting edge of the industry.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.

Outside of the dental world, Dr. Sherry continues to play ice hockey in local leagues and offers private lessons to rising hockey stars. She also greatly enjoys her time engaging in community outreach and development within Shenandoah. Her other interests include golfing, bow hunting, reading, and staying active.
