  • Can running hurt a bulging disc?

Low impact activities are best for exercising with a herniated disc. Running may not necessarily hurt the herniated disc depending on the size of the herniation, but if you are trying to avoid exacerbating the issue, best to stick to low impact activities like cycling. READ MORE

  • What exercises fix bunions?

  • How long do you need to be off work after bunion surgery?

Depending on the type of surgery need to fix the bunion, you could be non-weight bearing anywhere from 4-8 weeks. You can return to work if it is a sedentary position about a week after surgery as long as you can be compliant with non-weight bearing (a knee scooter is easier to use than crutches). READ MORE

  • How do you get bursitis elbow?

Olecranon (elbow) bursitis usually occurs if you are on you are doing activities where you put your weight through your elbows (like crawling on your elbows). • Is a back brace good for computer work?

A back brace isn't the best for computer work as your core muscles will start to rely on the brace for support rather than doing the work to support your core. I would recommend a posture strap or posture shirt while working at the computer to encourage good posture which requires engaging the core. READ MORE

  • How do you stop a bunion from progressing?

Unfortunately, many bunions are genetic and will progress no matter what you do. Avoiding narrow, high-heeled shoes (usually the best looking shoes unfortunately) is the best thing you can do to keep a bunion from progressing. READ MORE

  • How long does spinal decompression surgery take?

A simple single level decompression surgery such as a discectomy can be as quick as about an hour and a half. When more levels require decompression this usually requires a fusion as well which can be upwards of 3-4 hours. READ MORE

  • Can you walk after foot surgery?

It depends on the type of foot surgery you are having. Fusion surgeries usually require non-weight bearing for 6-8 weeks, whereas a neuroma excision usually requires non-weight bearing for about 2 weeks until the incision is healed. READ MORE

  • How do you sleep after patella surgery?

If it is a patella surgery to fix a patella fracture, you will be in a brace locked in extension while sleeping for the first 6-8 weeks. READ MORE

  • What causes fluid in the knee?

Fluid on the kneecap is called prepatellar bursitis. This occurs after doing activities where you are kneeling frequently, such as laying new carpet.
