If mental health struggles were not common, there would be no need for these services. Everyone struggles at one point in their life. Dr Vaughn encourages people to reach out to their primary care provides to ask them questions. These providers can be found by looking up their insurance plan. There is always an option, and always a solution. First Session: In the first session, Dr Vaughn will go over the history, data, struggles, and goals of her clients. She is very direct and active. She is also solution oriented and helps her clients find a solution. She will recommend different books or therapeutic assignments to her clients to help them with their goals. Making Patients feel comfortable: Dr Vaughn tells her patients that everyone struggles and they are not alone. She is very empathetic and non judgmental. Types of Therapy: Dr Vaughn uses CBT, systems oriented approach, solution oriented approach in her practice. She also first likes to rule out any health problems with her patients as it can be an underlying issue that is mimicking the systems of a mental health problem.
