  • Children's Motrin vs. Tylenol?

    Motrin works better for higher fevers, however, it does have more potential side effects (GI irritation). I personally like to alternate both Motrin and Tylenol every 4 hours, but I usually start with Motrin. Either med will work for fever, however, it just depends on your preference. Hope this helps.     First recommendation, get a flu shot if you haven't already. However, it does take a couple of weeks for it to take effect. In conjunction with the flu shot, or alternatively, Tamiflu can be taken to help prevent the flu.
