Get to know General Dentist Dr. Zachary L. Rodriguez, who serves patients in Avon, Ohio.

Dr. Rodriguez is a general dentist who treats patients’ dental needs at DentalWorks Avon in Avon, Ohio. Equipped with the progressive dental technologies, every aspect of DentalWorks Avon was configured with the patient at the forefront. The practice’s dentists and hygienists have a gentle, but attentive chairside manner that actually has patients looking forward to coming back.

Dr. Rodriguez believes that dentistry is a profession that has afforded him the opportunity to stay involved in a medical setting, while being able to build relationships with a diverse population of people. As a true testament to his beliefs, he volunteers at the free Care Alliance Clinic in downtown Cleveland, extracting teeth from underprivileged patients. He also participates in the ‘Give Kids a Smile’ program at schools throughout Cleveland.

Dr. Rodriguez has always had a zest for life science and research. This passion quickly translated into a career when he received his undergraduate degree in biological sciences at the University of California, Irvine in 2011. He decided to pursue dentistry soon after by obtaining a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from the Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in 2015. Dr. Rodriguez further expanded his knowledge and completed a certified course in Advanced Education in General Dentistry from Case Western Reserve in 2016.

Dr. Rodriguez remains closely connected with fellow professionals and is a member of the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. General dentists, like Dr. Rodriguez, are the main providers of dental care to patients of all ages. By placing a strong emphasis on oral health and hygiene, they help patients avoid the progression of oral diseases.

Dr. Rodriguez is an animal lover and enjoys his time outdoors by playing golf and attending sporting events. He is also an avid traveler and loves trying out new dining spots.
