Get to know Plastic Surgeon Dr. Saud Alkabbaa, who serves patients in Louisville, Kentucky.

Dr. Alkabbaa is a board-certified plastic surgeon whose areas of expertise include aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the breasts, body contouring, facial aesthetic surgery, liposuction, fat injections, hand rejuvenation, as well as treatment of soft tissue injuries and hand tumors. He is affiliated with the Jewish Hospital, a 462-bed, internationally renowned, high-tech tertiary referral center located in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. 

Subsequently, he is completing his fellowship training at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery in Louisville. The accredited and prestigious fellowship program is a cooperative effort of the Institute and the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Fellows are fully trained plastic, orthopedic or general surgeons who come to Louisville from all over the world for additional training in hand and microsurgery. 

On the subject of his academic background, Dr. Alkabbaa earned his Medical Degree from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 2010. Thereafter, he completed his residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 2016. 

In order to stay up to date in his field, he remains a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the International Society Of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and the Saudi Plastic Surgery Care Society. 

Furthermore, the doctor is board-certified in plastic and reconstructive surgery by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, a Saudi Arabian scientific commission that regulates health care-related practices and accreditation at all levels in Saudi Arabia. 

Plastic surgery is a surgical specialty involving the restoration, reconstruction, or alteration of the face and body. A plastic surgeon’s primary responsibility is performing surgical and non-surgical procedures, and they use a variety of reconstructive techniques to get the desired outcome.
