A native New Yorker, Dr. Mongroo completed all levels of her education there. She attended SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, which was immediately followed by a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in rheumatology at NYU Winthrop Hospital.
Subsequent to her education, she attained board certification in rheumatology and internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
