Dr. Sinno is a board-certified plastic surgeon who works alongside Dr. Thomas Mustoe, one of the top plastic surgeons in the nation, at TLKM Plastic Surgery in Chicago, Illinois. He offers patients both surgical and nonsurgical procedures, including facelift, breast augmentation, and fat transfer surgeries.
The doctor’s contributions to the aesthetic surgery field through research and numerous publications have already established him as a thought leader and set him apart from other young plastic surgeons in the Chicago area. “As a classical pianist having competed for, and won, multiple awards, I appreciate the ability to not only perform but perform with excellence and an artistic elegance.” he stated.
As a native of Chicago, Dr. Sinno graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical and Biomedical Engineering. He then returned to Chicago to complete a surgical research fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and medical school at Loyola University Chicago. He earned the highest honor in his medical school class for clinical excellence and was selected as a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
It was Dr. Sinno’s lifelong interest in innovation through science and research that initially attracted him to the medical field. However, what really drew him to medical school was knowing that hard work and a commitment to excellence ultimately benefit his patients.
After graduating cum laude with a medical degree from Loyola University Chicago, he was recruited to the highly competitive combined plastic surgery residency program at New York University. For 6 years, he trained at some of the nation’s finest medical centers and aesthetic practices in New York City. He served as the Executive Chief Resident for the Department of Plastic Surgery at NYU Medical Center in 2016.
A member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the doctor is board-certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). The mission of the ABPS is to promote safe, ethical, efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for the education, examination, certification, and continuous certification of plastic surgeons as specialists and subspecialists.
Even early in his career, Dr. Sinno’s contributions to the field of cosmetic plastic surgery have earned national recognition. He has authored nearly 50 manuscripts involving a range of surgical procedures, including facelift, rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, abdominoplasty, and fat grafting. He has also lectured to colleagues at local, regional, national, and international meetings.
Enjoying giving back to his chosen specialty, he extends that passion to his approach to patient care: going above and beyond simply performing a procedure by creating the best possible outcomes. He is also a member of 15 committees dedicated to plastic surgery, as well as a contributing editor and author for a major textbook on facial aesthetic surgery (face, nose, eyelids, injectables). This book is a resource for other plastic surgeons and doctors to learn the best techniques to perform these procedures.
Plastic surgery is a surgical specialty involving the restoration, reconstruction, or alteration of the human body. It can be divided into two main categories – reconstructive surgery and cosmetic surgery. A plastic surgeon’s primary responsibility is performing surgical and non-surgical procedures, and they use a variety of reparative and reconstructive techniques to get the job done. As such, Dr. Sinno is able to not only demonstrate his technical skill as a surgeon, but also to apply the creativity and artistry that are required to create superb results.
In his personal life, he and his wife, who is a cosmetic and restorative dentist, have 2 children. They both have extended family in the Chicago area. Dr. Sinno enjoys playing classical piano and was a 4-time state champion. He also enjoys doing fitness, traveling, playing tennis, and cooking.
