Is it normal to hurt more after seeing a chiropractor?
Yes. It is normal to be sore after chiropractic treatment. I usually explain that getting ajusted is similar to working out. If you haven't worked out for a while or it's your first time, muscles will get sore. I recommend that you ice any sore area from 15 to 20 minutes, as often as once and hour. Also hydration is important for health and the healing process. One should drink at least half your body weight in ounces of water. And your chiropractor should have you on a treatment plan. One visit doesn't always "fix" the issue. READ MORE
Can chiropractors adjust feet?
Yes Chiropractors can adjust most joints. But not every chiropractor has training to adjust extremities. My suggestion is to call the chiropractors office to make sure they treat feet. READ MORE
How often should you see a chiropractor for neck pain?
It is difficult to say without knowing your history. It varies from patient to patient. Depending on the severity of your pain, one adjustment may help relieve your pain for a month to 3 months. I usually recommend at least once a month, as long as your symptoms aren't severe. In the beginning you may need to be seen as often as 2 to 3 times in a week. For less severe cases, maybe once a week until it's manageable. READ MORE

Why does my son have muscle tightness when he sleeps?
Sometimes the body/muscles with tighten up when in rest and loosen up with motion or activity. Stress could be the main factor in your son. It would be a good idea to have him assessed by a chiropractor to see if it may be an option to help with his discomfort. With all the changes since COVID-19, maybe he isn't as active as he would be if he were in school. Encourage him to do some outdoor activities to get his muscles moving again. READ MORE
Can chiropractors help with elbow pain?
Yes. However, you would need to find a chiropractor that does extremity adjustments. Some chiropractors focus on the spine, and there are some chiropractors that specialize in extremities. READ MORE
What is the best treatment for back pain?
There are a few options. Ice and heat at home may help. Without knowing your daughter's history it's difficult to say what would be the best treatment option for her; however, chiropractic treatment is an option to help relieve lower back pain and has helped many of my patients. Other things may include physical therapy, proper exercises to strengthen her core, and/or rest if she's extremely active. READ MORE
