Get to know Chiropractor Dr. Joelle A. Santiago, who serves patients in Avon, Connecticut.

Dr. Santiago is a board-certified chiropractor and the sixth chiropractor in three generations of the Santiago family. She works alongside her mother, Dr. Joanne Santiago, at Avon Chiropractic Health Center in Avon, Connecticut.

The mother-daughter chiropractic duo provides patients of all ages with non-surgical solutions to healing pain and injury and has been doing so for many years. They provide specialized care including chiropractic care, Shape ReClaimed weight loss, pediatric chiropractic care, maternity chiropractic care, exercise rehab, acupuncture, dry needling, nutritional counseling, cold laser therapy, auto accident & personal injury rehabilitation, workers’ compensation, and more. Treatments are also provided for the following conditions: back pain, neck pain, joint pain, migraines and chronic headaches, sciatica, sports injuries, and more.

With a particular interest in nutrition and rehabilitation, Dr. Santiago is a certified Shape Reclaimed practitioner and is eager to help patients achieve their nutritional and health goals. Currently, she serves as the Secretary for the Connecticut Chiropractic Association Executive Board and is an active member of the Avon Chamber of Commerce. 

Back in the early days of her academic career, her chiropractic studies were completed at the University of Bridgeport School of Chiropractic. During her time as a student, she served as the President of the Student Connecticut Chiropractic Association. 

Chiropractic is a form of alternative medicine that mainly deals with the diagnosis and treatment of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine. A chiropractor uses spinal adjustments, manipulation, and other techniques to manage patients’ health concerns, including neck pain and back pain. They aim to improve patients’ functionality and quality of life by properly aligning the body’s musculoskeletal structure and enabling the body to heal itself without the use of medication or surgery.
