Get to know Hand Surgeon Dr. Seth TeBockhorst, who serves patients in Golden, Colorado.

Passionate about hand and reconstructive surgery, Dr. TeBockhorst works at Precision Plastic and Hand Surgery in Golden, Colorado. This passion has grown both out of educational experiences and from analogous pursuits in his personal life.

Caring deeply about doing meaningful work and forming sincere relationships, his interests include fractures of the hand and wrist, tendon injuries, peripheral nerve surgery, and reconstruction of the upper and lower extremities. He enjoys the challenge and satisfaction provided by restoring the intricate and pain-free form of the hand and wrist that is so critical to patients’ lives.

Established in 2013, Precision Plastic and Hand Surgery is committed to providing patients with outstanding care in a comfortable and convenient setting. The professional staff is dedicated to helping patients arrive at the correct diagnosis, understand treatment options, and recover well from surgery when it is needed.

Academically, Dr. TeBockhorst completed undergraduate and graduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering, a field that provided him a framework with which to approach and solve problems. Out of this grew a fascination with the human body and a desire to make his life’s work about helping people.

He earned his medical degree at the University of California, Irvine, College of Medicine followed by training in both general and plastic surgery at the University of Colorado. Finally, he completed a fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern.

Passionate about his profession, the doctor is board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge. 

A Colorado native, Dr. TeBockhorst enjoys traveling, participating in many outdoor sports, reading, and spending time with his family.
