Get to know Dentist Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, who serves patients in Dublin, California.

With over 35 years of experience in dentistry, Dr. Sharma is the Founder of Sharma Dental Center in Dublin, California. He offers his honest opinion, performs dentistry to great standards, and is always available to his patients.

“I hold myself to an extremely high-level of excellence in every aspect of my practice. This includes the care I provide, the equipment that I use, the health and safety protocols that I follow, and the incidental services that I offer. Above all, my aim is to provide each of my patients with an optimal experience” expressed Dr. Sharma.

Achieving healthy, beautiful smiles, the objective of Sharma Dental Center is to deliver the best possible dental care using training, experience, and advanced dental equipment. Treating patients of all ages, Dr. Sharma and his well-trained dental staff are also highly experienced in providing cosmetic dentistry services such as teeth cleaning, checkups, veneers, crowns, and more to ensure families enjoy a long, happy, and healthy life.

With a broad educational background, Dr. Sharma graduated from dental school in India in 1985. Thereafter, he went on to do postgraduate studies in prosthodontics at Banaras Hindu University in 1992. He moved to the United States in 1995 and went to attend the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis to complete his Master of Science degree in Dentistry (Geriatric General Dentistry). 

In 1998, he received his dental license in the United States and has been practicing dentistry since then. He continues to improve his knowledge and skills by attending various programs in the United States and abroad. He has been to Brazil, Australia, Dubai, Switzerland, Germany, and various cities in the United States like San Diego, Boston, New York, Portland, and Los Angeles (to name a few) to improve his skills in implants, orthodontics, and endodontics.

Among his professional dental affiliations, Dr. Sharma is a member of the American Dental Association, the Southern Alameda County Dental Association, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American Orthodontic Society, and the California Dental Association.

Driven to constantly improve his knowledge in the area of dentistry, he frequently attends educational conferences and professional society meetings to learn about the latest advancements in the field and offer these techniques and technologies to patients.

“I strongly believe that patient education is an important part of the services I provide. In addition to talking with patients during exams and throughout the course of treatment regimens, I have provided extensive information on the conditions, treatments, and procedures relating to dentistry” stated Dr. Sharma.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.  

Happily married, Dr. Sharma lives in Pleasanton with his wife, Cristina, and two boys, Viraj and Aaryan. When he is not working, he loves to spend time with his family. He speaks multiple languages, including English, Chinese (Mandarin), Hindi, and Punjabi.
