  • Can my son benefit from massage therapy if he plays sports?

Massage therapy can definitely help with that but so can chiropractic adjustments. Massage therapy is fantastic for muscle problems. Chiropractic adjustments help with joint alignment and muscle issues. Wrestling is a tough sport on the body, you want to make sure he is getting both the muscle work and the joint alignment. I would recommend a combination of massage and chiropractic. READ MORE

  • Is it safe to do physical therapy before being diagnosed?

Physical therapy is very helpful to many people. Many physical therapists need a referral from a MD, DC or DO. There are several chiropractors that specialize in rehabilitation and you don't need to go to another doctor before hand. Chiropractors evaluate, diagnose conditions dealing with the neuromusculoskeletal system, and treatment. Chiropractors can order or do any necessary imaging, if needed, for diagnosis purposes. • My daughter has her head tilted towards the right side. Can a chiropractor help me?

  • How do I protect my back at work?

Ergonomics are going to be very important. Make sure he has a good chair. His knees and hips are bent at 90°, he is sitting tall, elbows are 90°, and wrists are in a neutral position. It is also super important to take breaks after 30-45 minutes to get up, move around and stretch to relieve any discomfort. READ MORE

  • Should I see a chiropractor for scoliosis?

  • Can chiropractic adjustments reverse autism?

Yes, chiropractic care can help autism. I will not say that it reverses it but it helps control parts of the symptoms. Chiropractors get the nervous system balanced. Many people on the spectrum have an issue with their fight or flight autonomic nervous system always firing and the rest and digest autonomic nervous system not firing as much. With chiropractic care, these two system become more balanced and it causes shifts in the body. This helps people on the spectrum or with sensory disorders function better. I know that is kind of complicated, but I work with several people on the spectrum or with sensory disorders and it makes a huge difference! READ MORE

  • How long does it take a herniated disc to heal without surgery?

I would need to know more about what you are doing to recover. Are you seeing a chiropractor? Are you doing stretches or exercises? If you are doing daily exercises and seeing a chiropractor, most people have minimal pain from the disc herniation after a few months. If you are not doing those things, then it could take a lot longer. READ MORE

  • How does chiropractic care help a child's cold?

When chiropractors adjust people, we restore the balance in the nervous system and in the body. The nervous system is in constant communication with the immune system and when one functions well (like the nervous system after an adjustment), then the other functions well. There isn't much research on the mechanisms for how this works yet but thousands of people feel better after getting adjusted even with issues like colds, fevers, and allergies. That being said, getting adjusted can ease tension in the shoulders, ribs and neck. This will loosen up the muscles and bones in the area and open up the chest for better inhalation and exhalation. If you do need to use essential oil for a reason, please make sure that it is safe for babies and only use a drop or two mixed with coconut oil. READ MORE

If he is able to try chiropractic first, that could help in rehabilitation. I hope he recovers well and everything goes smoothly. Good luck. READ MORE

  • What toxins are released during chiropractic adjustments?

Just like having a great workout or massage, things like lactic acid, carbon dioxide, and other waste molecules of the body can leave the joint or the muscles after the adjustment. We recommend drinking plenty of water after the adjustment, massage or workout to make sure that these molecules don't cause a buildup in another location in the body and can be pushed out of the body in the urine.
