As a Kern Medical physician, Dr. Chandramahanti is an Assistant Professor on the UCLA teaching faculty. Her research work has been published in the European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and the Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism.
A Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology (FACE), she is a member of a number of medical associations and societies, including the American College of Physicians, the Endocrine Society, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, and the Medical Council of India.
Receiving her initial medical training in India, Dr. Chandramahanti earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and medical degrees. After relocating to the United States, she completed an internship in internal medicine at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, Connecticut where she was recognized as Outstanding Ambulatory Senior Resident. She also received the American Cancer Society’s Best Resident Screening Award. She then held a postgraduate fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.
Licensed to practice medicine in California, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine and endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
