Dr. Bernardo has a strong sense of fulfillment when it comes to providing house-call dentistry to Los Angeles and Orange County patients. He is a part of a compassionate, familial team of like-minded caregivers, In Motion Dentists, who bring the highest level of compassionate care to each patient they serve.

Taking pride in the privilege of offering exceptional dental care to homebound patients and patients with intellectual disabilities, helping the underserved is a passion for Dr. Bernardo. He values the opportunity to be a part of such an amazing house-call dentistry practice.

Knowing that oral health care largely affects one’s overall well-being, he finds the opportunity to provide vital dental care for these patients extremely rewarding. Through this important service, he can bring peace of mind to his patients and their caregivers alike.

When caring for his patients, one will often hear Dr. Bernardo singing – even if he is not in tune! Music brings him comfort and happiness, and he wants to share that comfort with those around him.

Outside of house-call dentistry, he is involved in numerous professional organizations, including: the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Tri-County Dental Association, and the Academy for Sports Dentistry.

He is also very involved with Special Olympics, whose mission is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.

His affiliation with Special Olympics Special Smiles is just one way Dr. Bernardo gives back to the community he loves. Fostering the acceptance and inclusion of all people, he provides comprehensive oral health care information, including offering free dental screenings and instructions on correct brushing and flossing techniques, to participating Special Olympics athletes.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.

In his free time, Dr. Bernardo enjoys spending time with his wife, roaming the outdoors, enjoying new foods, playing tennis, and being a tourist in his own city.
