Get to know Geriatrician Dr. Bushra Shah, who serves patients in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Dr. Shah is a fellowship-trained geriatrician who works at CHI St. Vincent Longevity Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.

In her local area, she is affiliated with CHI St. Vincent Infirmary and Briarwood Nursing Center.

Back in the early days of her academic career, Dr. Shah graduated with her medical degree from King Edward Medical University in 1995. She then went on to serve her residency in family medicine and her fellowship in geriatric medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2002 and 2003, respectively. 

Subsequent to her education, she attained board certification in family medicine through the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Geriatrics, or geriatric medicine, is a specialty that focuses on health care of elderly people. It aims to promote health by preventing and treating diseases and disabilities in older adults. Geriatricians focus on maintaining patient well-being and independent functioning. They diagnose and treat conditions that may commonly occur with age.

On a more personal note, Dr. Shah speaks several languages, including English and Arabic.
