A certified physician assistant, Daniela works in private practice in Islip, New York.

In regards to her educational background, she completed her Bachelor of Science degree and her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Wagner College. She then went on to pursue her residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital.

During her education, Daniela rotated in 14 different specialties from which she learned a variety of skills as well as a strong sense of confidence and professionalism.

An active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, she is certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). The NCCPA is the only certifying organization for physician assistants in the United States, offering the Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) designation to signify a higher level of clinical knowledge, clinical reasoning, and other medical skills and professional behaviors.

Among her most fulfilling experiences, Daniela traveled to Guatemala to volunteer and treat underprivileged individuals with her classmates, seeing a total of over 400 patients in 3 days.

A Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) is a health care practitioner who practices medicine in collaboration with physicians. They examine patients, prescribe medicine, and order diagnostic tests. In most cases, they work under the supervision of physicians or surgeons, but they can work more independently in some states, rural areas, and inner-city areas, consulting with physicians only when they need help with cases.

An enthusiastic soccer player, Daniela played as a defender for the Wagner Seahawks in 2016 and 2017. Prior to that, she was an All-Conference player at Islip High School, leading her team to the state title during her senior year with the Buccaneers, and was inducted as a member of the National Honor Society. She also played club soccer for ECNL Albertson.

On a more personal note, she was born in Islip, New York, to Emily Gubert and Al D’Acunto. She has two sisters, Victoria and Alexandra.
