Get to know Otolaryngologist Dr. Shiva P. Daram, who serves patients throughout the State of Texas.

A prominent otolaryngologist, Dr. Daram is affiliated with UTMB Health Ear, Nose and Throat, seeing patients at their offices in Galveston, and League City, Texas. He specializes in providing cutting edge medical and surgical treatment for the full spectrum of pediatric ENT disorders, including airway and breathing issues, swallowing dysfunction, allergies and sinusitis, sleep apnea, hearing loss and ear infections.

UTMB Health’s Ear, Nose and Throat Consultants and the Center for Audiology and Speech Pathology have long been leaders in the healthcare industry. Their practice is championed by a faculty of driven physicians, who have trained at leading centers throughout the country and are now exercising their expertise on Galveston Island and at our mainland clinics in League City and Texas City. Throughout his academic career, Dr. Daram graduated with his medical degree from the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and completed a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, one of the nation’s top pediatric specialty hospitals, where he won numerous research and teaching awards throughout his training.

Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in otolaryngology-head & neck surgery through the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, which serves the public by ensuring that diplomates meet the standards of training, knowledge, and professionalism through initial and continuing certification.

Otolaryngology is the oldest medical specialty in the United States. Otolaryngologists, also known as ear, nose, and throat doctors, specialize in disorders of the head and neck, ranging from hearing loss to cancer.

In his free time, Dr. Daram enjoys swimming, reading, and spending time with his two young children.
