He is also an attending physician at Vita-Fuse. He has a special interest in renal function and its effect on overall health. He has expertise in renal pathophysiology and has worked previously with patients suffering from various forms of renal disease.

Born and raised in Luxor, Egypt, Dr. Azer moved with his family to New Jersey after completing rigorous scientific and medical training in Egypt. He received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Westbury. He then went on to complete his residency (Chief Resident) and fellowship at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
Passionate about his profession, the doctor is board-certified in emergency medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM). The AOBEM is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of acutely ill patients with advanced cardiac life support, trauma, and the management of other life-threatening medical issues (emergency physicians).
In good standing with a number of professional organizations, Dr. Azer is an active member of the American College of Emergency Physicians, the American Osteopathic Association, the American Academy of Emergency Medicine, the Emergency Medicine Residents’ Association, and the New Jersey Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons.
