Finally, she completed a fellowship in adolescent medicine at the North Shore University Hospital – Cornell University Medical College.
Passionate about her profession, the doctor is board-certified in adolescent medicine and pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.
Distinguished as a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist, she serves as the Medical Liaison for the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals, New York Chapter, providing leadership and advancing the understanding of its medical complexities.
Moreover, Dr. Pastore has served on the national Executive Board of the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine and regional health committees for the American Academy of Pediatrics. As a faculty member of the Icahn School of Medicine, she trained over 20 fellows in Adolescent Medicine.

This period begins at puberty and lasts until growth has stopped. Adolescent medicine specialists have extra training in the medical and emotional issues that many teens face.
