Get to know Chiropractor Dr. Rodney Merritt, who serves patients in Hilliard, Ohio.

A dedicated chiropractor, Dr. Merritt works with patients at his private practice – Merritt Chiropractic and Wellness – in Hilliard, Ohio. Treating many acute and chronic conditions, he specializes in treating difficult cases and cases that have failed previous forms of treatment. He has extensive training in advanced chiropractic techniques, advanced massage and deep tissue techniques, exercise and rehabilitation, nutrition and acupuncture.

Back in the early days of his academic career, he attended the Central Ohio School of Massage before earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from Park University in Kansas City where he graduated with honors. He then went on to graduate with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Cleveland Chiropractic College.

Remaining up to date in his field, Dr. Merritt is an active member of the Central Ohio Diabetes Association. He is a lecturer and presenter on various health related topics.

In his professional experience, he has served as an instructor in anatomy and physiology, and has worked with the New Albany Country Club, and the Sawmill Athletic Club. He was also a therapist with the 1992 Olympic trials and the Columbus Marathon for several years, where he worked with professional and amateur athletes.

Chiropractic is a form of alternative medicine that mainly deals with the diagnosis and treatment of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine. A chiropractor uses spinal adjustments, manipulation, and other techniques to manage patients’ health concerns, including neck pain, back pain, headaches, vertigo and a long list of other ailments and conditions. They aim to improve patients’ functionality and quality of life by properly aligning the body’s musculoskeletal structure and enabling the body to heal itself naturally, without the use of medication or surgery.
