Get to know Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Steven J. Cotman, who serves patients throughout the State of Ohio.

A board-certified orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Cotman joined Orthopedic Associates, Inc. in August, 2020, serving patients at their offices in Westlake and Avon, Ohio. His expertise in trauma, general orthopedics and adult reconstruction (including anterior total hips) is a big asset for the practice.

Graduating with his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University, Dr. Cotman completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Mount Carmel Health System. Later, he completed his fellowship in orthopedic trauma and adult reconstruction at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

With an unwavering commitment to his specialty, the doctor is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopaedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopaedic surgeons.
