Born in Chicago and raised in Hinsdale, Illinois, she graduated from Fenwick High School and earned athletic and academic scholarships to the University of Missouri and to Villanova University. There, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology while playing Division I soccer at both. She was recognized as a Big East All-Academic Team Honoree and served as President of the academic fraternity, Delta Sigma Delta-Alpha Omicron Chapter.
Subsequently, Dr. Ruff earned her Master of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona in 2015, and received her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois in 2019.
Continuously advancing her efforts, she is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society.
