She then went on to complete her residency in general surgery at the same educational venue in 2016, before completing her fellowship in burn surgery at the Jacobi Medical Center in 2018. Finally, she completed a fellowship in surgical critical care at Lincoln Hospital in 2019.

Recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), the doctor is board-certified in general surgery and surgical critical care by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.

General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on abdominal contents including the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, appendix and bile ducts, and often the thyroid gland.
