Get to know Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Daniel N. Kiridly, who serves patients in Nashville, Tennessee.

A fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Kiridly is affiliated with Hughston Clinic, working with patients at their offices in Nashville, Tennessee. His practice is devoted to comprehensive adult spine surgery, with a particular focus on cervical and lumbar disc replacement, minimally invasive techniques, and the use of computer navigation and robotic assistance in spine surgery.

Since their founding in 1949, Hughston Clinic has sought to provide the most advanced orthopedic services available to men, women and children of all ages and all walks of life. Today, Hughston Clinic comprises a number of leading institutions for the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic conditions, as well as orthopedic research, education and training.

Pertaining to his educational background, Dr. Kiridly received a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from Yale University, and earned his medical degree from the NYU School of Medicine. While at NYU, he also completed a Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) at the NYU Stern School of Business. 

Following medical school, he completed his orthopedic surgery internship and residency at the Northwell-LIJ Department of Orthopedic Surgery. He also completed a fellowship in spine surgery at the Texas Back Institute. His fellowship training focused on specialized computer navigation in spine surgery, robotic spine surgery, lumbar and cervical disc replacement as an alternative to fusion, and minimally invasive techniques such as endoscopic spine surgery.

On a professional level, Dr. Kiridly is a proud member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the North American Spine Society. He has presented his research on diabetes as it relates to spine surgery and on cervical disc replacement, and he has published textbook chapters on thoracic disc herniations and articles on the use of neuromonitoring in spine surgery.

Orthopedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and non-surgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.
