Montoya St NW Albuquerque NM, 87104About
I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with eight years of healthcare experience.
Welcome! I'm Olivier Djoumessi, your dedicated, compassionate, patient-focused, board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). With a heart for healing and a commitment to your mental health, I bring compassion, expertise, and evidence-based care to every consultation. My focus is to empower you to overcome personal challenges and achieve balanced mental well-being through a flexible, comprehensive, integrative, and holistic approach.
My practice is patient-centered around thorough psychiatric evaluations and personalized treatment plans tailored to manage children (6 to 10), preteens, teens, adults, elders (65+), and veterans presenting with psychiatric conditions (depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, eating disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, schizophrenia) and addiction (opioids and alcohol). I have demonstrated my proficiency by implementing cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and medication management. Through my empathetic approach, I create a safe and supportive environment for patients to address their concerns and develop effective coping strategies.
Education is critical to my approach. My journey in healthcare began with a solid foundation in nursing from the University of Texas Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing specializing in Psychiatry from Walden University. I'm a member of the American Nurses Association (ANA).
My practice is about managing symptoms and nurturing resilience so that you can lead a fulfilling life. Utilizing a holistic approach, I combine therapy, medication management, and lifestyle modifications to support patients on their journey to recovery.
Your mental health is my priority. Let's work together to create a path towards resilience and well-being.
